Christmas In Lubbock

Well we started out with professional pictures of the Rehwald fam . . . stay tuned for those. But we had a very nice Christmas in Lubbock until we all got the flu and then it became a "sick house". We are all finally recovering, but it may have been the first holidy where no one ate and everyone lost weight. Needless to say, after the "sickness", the bleach was brought out and sheets were burned (kidding, but not a bad idea).

Easton had a blast and preferred "riding" his boxes of toys over actually opening them. We know what to get him next year! He also liked throwing the many balls he recieved. And Jeremy and I won the best White Elephant gifts, as displayed above. We love to match!

Santa

This past weekend we went to see Santa. What fun! Easton didn't know what to think at first. The farther he was from Santa the better; distance was good :) And a few photos by the tree . . .

15 Months!

Thought I would try to be a professional and take some close ups of the little man. There were airplanes flying overhead the entire time and he had to point each one out. That is the only word he can say and he knows what he is saying. Not Ma ma or Da da, but airplane. Although it sounds more like uhr buah.

Betsy and the Kids

What can we say; she was a hit! Betsy is the child-whisperer.

Washington DC

We just returned from our trip to DC so Jeremy could run the Marine Corps Marathon. He did an awesome job, clocking in at 3:39, an 8:17 minute mile. Woo!

We also had the opportunity to tour the city and see the sights. We found a good park for Easton to play in, saw the White House, toured Annapolis and the Naval Academy, and visited the Capital. Easton slept the whole time, whew!

Iowa

We just returned from a visit to Iowa for Cousin Matt's wedding and Grandma & Grandpa's surprise 60th birthday. Easton enjoyed seeing all of the relatives and playing with Grandpa in the yard. I caught him in the act of pulling the flowers and rolling the pumpkins off the porch. Notice the lovely scab on his nose. He face-planted on the cement, ouch! He also had fun playing in the new kayak.

Easton is One

Well again I am over a month behind. Easton turned one on August 21st, and we celebrated with friends and cake. Then we went to Iowa and celebrated with more friends and cake. Easton definitely likes sugar. Well, he'll eat anything, actually. Easton also had fun playing with Izzy and drinking out of the pool with her.

Easton is 11 Months! (yesterday)

So BIG! Walking more and more each day! Has 5 1/2 teeth and drooling like crazy.

He also loves to help swift the floor and play with the spray bottle. Mr. Clean :)

And I think he has officially moved up a diaper size, but I'm trying my best to finish this box of 3's. Poor kid, they look like a speedo on him!

Turks & Caicos

Well we just got back from an "adult only" vacation to the Turks & Caicos and it quickly landed at the top of our tropical destination list. Gorgeous!! We tried to imitate the Carona commercial because that's exactly what the beach looked like. We also tried parasailing and although the views were amazing, it was extremly high and a little nerve-wracking!! That's us, those two little specks under the orange parachute. Seriously high.

Overall we highly recommend the Turks! Beautiful!

Memorial Weekend

I am a little behind, but we spent a relaxing (and cool) weekend in Ruidoso with Nannie, Poppy, Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Lu, Uncle Brett & Cousin Aiden. We had lots of outdoors time and Easton most especially liked playing with his cousin, bathing in the sink, and the horses! Oh, and climbed the stairs for the first time. What a milestone! And I had to include the picture where it appears Aiden is slapping Easton. He took it like a champ ;) And we enjoyed the races!

Gardening and the Old West

Here are photos from this weekend. Lots of yardwork and lots of posing Easton in his cowboy onesie from Grandma and riding his "horse" from cousin Teague. Is there anything more cute than a plaid cowboy onesie with pearl snaps?? Easton loved helping us in the yard and helping dispose of messy dirt by eating it . . . Caught, red (or brown) handed!

He has been crawling all over the house, so I'm sure by now he's eaten many things he probably shouldn't, like Mila's dog food. He loves dumping out her food and water bowl, which is so fun to clean up! Here they are in a photo; Mila is guarding her food with

Weekend with Nan, Poppy, and Crawfish

Well Easton certainly wanted to try a crawfish. I think I got some good photos of him. Note the red swelling on his forehead . . . I was trying to get a close up and he lunged for the camera and we collided. He didn't cry though . . . whew! We had a very fun weekend with the grandparents!

Easter Weekend with Grandparents

Here are some pics . . . we had a wonderful time with Grandma Jules & Grandpa JR. It was gorgeous weather and we even dined on the patio :) Easton thought his grandparents were SO funny!
